The Newest Ninja

On Wednesdays, Elisabeth and Landon meet up with their buddies to play, while we moms hang out, attempt to finish conversations, enjoy the sunshine and inevitably tack on a lunch date.
This past week, we wound up at Knee High Ninja (a Martial Arts Studio that's converted to an indoor playground a few days a week.)
I decided to let Landon loose, thinking he'd hang w/ me back in the corner.  Well, that was short lived.  He owned that place. He was up and down and back and forth...and even tried to climb into baby Quentin's car seat a few times.
Hopefully the Peeps of Knee High don't notice there's an extra kid on the floor so I can avoid the "Crawler" fee until our summer pass is purchased ;)

Backseat Driver

Okay, Elisabeth. I love you dearly but let's recap. I shared my circulatory, pulmonary and gastrointestinal system with you for 9 months...rent free. I shared many, many middle of the night rendezvous with you. I share my computer with you and read my emails through the tiny finger smudges you've left behind. I haven't actually TASTED my food in 2 1/2 years. I even share a bathroom with you. Move over, "ruggy duckies." But here, my little backseat driver, is where I draw the line...

The scenario and conversation
went something like this:

Me: (changing the radio station)
Elisabeth: Noooo! Oh my...Oh my! (seriously worried look on her face)
Me: What?
Elisabeth: Go back. I like that song!
(what!? Is she for real?)
Me: (Click back to Kelly Clarkson) This one?
Elisabeth: No.
Me: (click back to Maroon 5) This one?
Elisabeth: Yes! Thanks. (Thumb back in mouth and starts groovin' to the beat)

Green is the New Pink

We went to the mall last week and picked up our seasonal "go to" shoes.  Hello, again, Crocs!

Grabbed two pairs of hot pink and green crocs...threw in a couple of (the dreaded) jibbitz and we were on our way.

Move over stereotypical pink and green...someone's favorite color is green~

There they are...in all their glory. Flower Jibbitz.  The pink pair of crocs are decorated by only one lucky ladybug.

Addition to the Last Post

Cherry Blossoms

PapPap Miller came to visit for the weekend and before he left, we decided to venture downtown and check out the Cherry Blossoms~  Luckily he was able to be here during the beginning of their peak...Springtime is the absolute best time to visit DC.  However, sometimes the crowds around the Tidal Basin trump the beauty of the trees and you're bound to take the road less traveled...the one that leads to BRUNCH!

Of course anyone who knows me well enough, knows that I live for Brunch.
I might make a spin off of the Zagat Survey and start my own compilation of hot Brunch spots~  Hmm...

Anyway, after hopping on the Parkway, we wound up at Indigo Landing.  It's right across the water from the airport.  Decent place to watch planes touchdown while enjoying a massive spread of delicious food and to sip a perfectly spicy Bloody Mary, garnished with olives, limes and a celery stalk~

After we ate, we tried to grab a few pictures outside by the water...

Breakfast Date

~Meeting Annabelle for bagels, chocolate milk, juice and jelly pretty much made Elisabeth's day~
Thanks for the company, Katie, Belle and Quentin!

Getting toddlers to simultaneously look in the same direction (and capture it on camera) is trickier than you'd think...

Man Down

Poor thing.  Lost his leg in the "Battle of Morning Nap"
