letter to santa

Dear Santa, There are cookies, milk and orange juice.

(remember,) I asked for a tea cup, real coffee and a bouncy ball.  thank you.

love, elisabeth
p.s. there is a bathroom here.

green machine

i swore i'd never do it...

(but i was running out of excuses as to why we couldn't use "that" cart and i think she was starting to catch on.)

~ that one has a broken wheel.
~ oh, that cart stays outside because it's just for decoration.
~ those kids are in that cart because their mom payed a quarter.  i left my quarters at home.
~ we can only do it when landon's not with us.
~ only kids who have a drivers license can ride in it.
~ you have to ride with one of the baggers.

shameful, i know...but let's look past that. i caved. it was the holidays.

look at how happy they are :)  honking their horns...

we only made it to aisle 1 before it all went down

~elisabeth's pushing landon b/c he's laying on top of her trying to steer her wheel
~stop the cart
~landon's whole torso is hanging out of the car b/c he thinks it's funny
~stop the cart
~ignore the crying happing inside of the car
~stop the cart
~let elisabeth out b/c she's had enough
~etc, etc....

...and so, i continued through the rest of the grocery store, sporadically kicking the broken wheel and occasionally throwing landon and item from my grocery list to keep him occupied.
he really loved the frozen peas.

now that all is said and done, i can safely say we will continue to frequent regular carts.

big truck!

i'm pretty sure this was the best day of his entire life

Tim Gunn

Here are 3 of Landon's 4 Thanksgiving outfits.
Our special boy :)

this was a few days after but i threw it in here for good measure...this is what the kids look like when we're homebound.

kids table? we prefer kid row.

the thanksgiving line up.
come 'n' get it!

(all three turkeys joined us @ the table for a civilized dinner :))

poor sweet, elisabeth...such a trooper.  not only did she let us stuff her in a booster seat but she also smiled through her terrible cold.  she so patiently let us have our laugh and then climbed out, curled up in the dining room and ate 2 dinner rolls and some olives.  that's her version of chicken noodle soup.

creating "The Card"

 Here's how the photoshoot went...

Will our Christmas card feature...

The chokehold?

The squirmer?

The binge drinker?

 The aftermath of binge drinking?

The escape to the wine rack?
No, I did not bribe my children with alcohol for a few good pictures...they did, however, raid the refrigerator in the midst of the photoshoot and swiped that documented beer.

Surprisingly, I did manage to snap one decent picture of the two of them together so, none of
these will be making the cut. Now, if I could only get around to ordering this reported "decent picture."
