~first day at "play" school~

who needs a back pack when you have a piggy?
~although he was taller and more social than most, landon isn't a part of her class~
all went well on her first day! we walked in, hung her school bag on her hook and before i knew it, mrs. e had elisabeth in hand and gently led her to table of puzzles. that was it.
the seperation was painless...
(for elisabeth)
i, on the other hand, didn't know whether to feel proud, cry or throw up. i think i even got a little dizzy...but maybe that was because i was carrying landon. he's heavy. anyway...thank god for the random helicopter mom i saw lurking in the hallway, crying and peering through the window at her child because i quickly checked myself back into reality and off i went to enjoy the morning with landon.
(i did feel like half of me was missing though ;))
landon and i had a few things to do that morning. first we made the trek to alexandria, to pick up his left shoe. apparently he tossed it out of the window when we were leaving the park yesterday. thanks, shiloh, for grabbing that random shoe in the parking lot!
now, fully outfitted, landon and i decided to head to the mall.
we had to pick up a new ariel doll.
earlier this week, the previous ariel doll was also chucked out of the car window.
maybe i shouldn't leave the windows down anymore.
landon roamed the corridors of the mall, babbling to random strangers, while i tagged along beside him, constantly wiping up my spilling coffee.
we stopped for a little bit to enjoy the billboard of food glory...
hurry up, le madeleine! i can't wait to eat THAT!
picking up elisabeth resulted in a good report.
she only needed piggy a time or two, to dry a few tears...
lunch was a no-go. she must have been a: too nervous to eat or b: too nervous to eat ;)
as soon as we got home, she scarfed down her pb/j, strawberries, cheese and crackers and informed me that she won't be going to school next tuesday.
next week's school post should be interesting.
this picture has nothing to do with school but they're sitting together and i wanted to put it somewhere.
